The Missing Floors

The Blue Tongue Hotel is a real find. Not grand but at £31 per night for a superior room it is brilliant. Our room is huge with a small balcony. The en suite is a large wet room with brilliant drench shower and masses of hot water. The air conditioning couldn't be better.

But.... we are in room 404 on the 4th floor. In the lift we press the top button which takes us to our floor - 4th. So far so good. When we reach our floor the lift shows that we are on the 6th floor. This building does not have a 6th , or indeed a 5th floor. Confused? We are.

Our first hotel with phantom floors. On the other hand perhaps they do exist and it is us that enters a space/time warp when we enter the lift. Mmm.

  1. That is so funny. We stayed on the 6th floor of a 4-floor hotel. As you say, a space warp.

  2. Very intriguing. I am sure I own dvds in which phantom floors are key!

  3. If the hotel didn't have a 5th floor what was supporting the 6th floor, did you go to the lift via the bar!
